What is Webkit ?

Webkit is the html/css rendering engine used in Apple’s safari browser and in Google chrome. Recently opera also announced that their browser will also move to use it. It is open source. It’s HTML and JavaScript code began as a branch of the KHTML and KJS libraries from KDE.

*css values have prefixes with “-webkit” and they are webkit-specific, they’re usually CSS3 or other non-standardised features.
